FIRE. FROM THE COSMOS TO THE COMMONS

In the organizer's words:

FIRE is the second chapter in the series FROM THE COSMOS TO THE COMMONS by Stadtkuratorin Hamburg and is dedicated to the element of fire, the apocalypse and repair. In an exhibition at the St. Nikolai memorial, site-specific works by Hamburg and international artists will be presented that deal with the political, ecological and spiritual dimension of fire in times of acute socio-political urgency. As part of the summer festival, city curator Joanna Warsza invites visitors to weekly performative tours and talks in the exhibition, which, based on the works, explore the question of how the cycle of destruction and renewal can be broken.
