The JazzBase Quartet interprets popular Cole Porter musical classics such as "Night and Day", "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "Just One of Those Things" in imaginative, captivating arrangements. The interpretations are arranged with great respect for the original material and move effortlessly between modern groove elements, traditional vocal jazz and improvisational freedom - enriched by soulful colors and surprising, cross-genre accents. The result is an exciting dialog between past and present, between swing, soul and a fine jazz feeling. The repertoire also includes several Danish compositions from singer Dorte Lindum's homeland as well as a few musical surprises.
Uptempo, balladic, reggae touch, soulful, Latin and, of course, swing - the pieces are brought to the stage in a varied, groovy way and full of positive energy with a lot of joy in experimenting and playing!
The musicians of the JazzBase Quartet delight their audiences with their imaginative and versatile playing in a wide variety of jazz formations, from trio to big band, including the renowned Unterfahrt in Munich. Singer Dorte Lindum's voice impresses with its confident phrasing and sensitive interpretation.
