Christian Schottstädt - Keyscene Tour 2026
In the organizer's words:
Whether as the singer and bandleader of the most successful Depeche Mode cover band, Forced To Mode, in projects such as Forced Movement, Morphose, Fictional, Part, or as a guest vocalist for artists such as Paul Van Dyk or Thomas Lizzara— CHRISTIAN SCHOTTSTÄDT’s voice and stage presence have become an indispensable part of the scene and beyond.
In 2025, the charismatic singer released his first solo album, titled “KEYSCENE.” For the album, he independently produced various classics and rarities from the synth-pop scene (including tracks by Camouflage, De/Vision, Blind Passengers, Mesh, S.P.O.C.K., and Elegant Machinery) in his own wonderfully melancholic and cinematic-minimalist style. Through his haunting and moving voice, as well as his evocative productions, CHRISTIAN SCHOTTSTÄDT imbued the songs with a unique, palpable brilliance.
Together with guitarist Detlef Mahler, the duo played a number of select concerts in Germany. The audience quickly realized just how much magic and power lay in the live rendition of the album. The two musicians are now expanding their setlist to include their own interpretations of songs by Depeche Mode, Recoil, Nirvana, Sandra, and Cock Robin, creating an enchanting evening rounded out by engaging and informative commentary between songs.
In December 2026, CHRISTIAN SCHOTTSTÄDT and guitarist Detta will embark on their first German tour with this program, giving Forced To Mode fans the rare opportunity to get a little closer to the frontman in a much more intimate setting.
At many of the tour’s concerts, none other than “Bobo in White Wooden Houses” will open the evenings with her solo program.
