C.B. Evans – Reality or Not

With "Reality or Not", the Schinkel Pavillon is showing C.B. Evans' first solo exhibition in Berlin and examines how digital media, entertainment and algorithmic systems shape our perception of reality. The focus is on the 35-minute film work "Reality or Not" (2023) about young people from a Parisian suburb who begin to question reality itself and "jump" between different levels of reality as part of a reality TV show. With humor, collage-like images and pop culture references, Evans combines emotional, political and technological themes to create a multi-layered reflection on contemporary culture.
