The Bunte Luft Trio is a Hamburg-based improvisation group that has developed its own characteristic sound with Tam Thi Pham on the Vietnamese zither Đàn Bầu, baritone saxophonist Jana De Troyer and Jan Wegmann on the modular synthesizer. Their latest album XERONEMA is based on the plant genus of the same name and combines the sonic equivalent of lush flowers with colorful spines.
