The concert program "Elysia" unites the European Chamber Choir Cologne, a project ensemble of jazz, pop, classical and baroque students of the HfMT Cologne and guest musicians from different parts of Europe, who overcome musical and cultural boundaries in their work. "Elysia" is a musical journey through Europe - carried by voices, instruments and stories that celebrate the diversity of our continent and make it audible. In the project, jazz becomes an explorative, integrative art form that uses improvisation as a connecting element between cultures and composition as a structural means of integrating different traditions. A specially composed suite blends a cappella sounds, European folk music and jazz to create a resounding vision.
