Heroines of Sound Festival  (Berlin) presents early and current heroines of electronic sound exploring uncharted musical territory and making important contributions to current aesthetic discourses. Feminist, diverse, and interdisciplinary, the festival supports the presence of women and non-binary – FLINTA* in the art and music worlds and makes the connections between different genres tangible.  Since 2014, Heroines of Sound has championed the visibility of pioneering figures and contemporary voices in music and sound art through a feminist, diverse and genre-crossing approach. The festivalis a key platform for international debates on feminist, diverse and non-binary perspectives in music, while maintaining a broad network of artists, organizations and initiatives in Berlin and beyond.
