“LIGHT AND WONDER – ALWAYS.”

Gisa Gericke is an artist, designer, and illustrator. She received artistic training at an early age before studying design, illustration, photography, and fashion design at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and the University of Technology Sydney in Australia.

She worked for many years as a freelance designer and illustrator before returning to independent artistic practice in recent years.

 In her artistic practice, she uses a wide variety of media to document and interpret her surroundings and experiences: drawing, photography, painting, printmaking, and mixed media.

Gisa Gericke sees art as a tool for confronting the daily noise and turmoil, transforming them into tranquility and beauty. Curiosity as a form of resilience. Art as a way to create connection without the need for language. Visual poetry and individual perception as a means of balancing the ever-increasing pace and noise of our present.

In recent years, in addition to figurative drawing, she has frequently explored the depiction of light, reflection, and movement—including in music and dance. An ongoing attempt to make fleeting, fragile moments visible.

The exhibition runs through the end of October 2026. The art exhibitions can be viewed at any time during our opening hours without an appointment. If LOFTWERK is closed on a particular day due to a private event, we ask for your understanding and hope you’ll visit us on another day.
