“Big Brother is watching you”—George Orwell wrote this world-famous phrase in his 1948 book *1984*. 
It has since become synonymous with any form of surveillance state. Many situations that Orwell described in 1948 as a frightening vision of the future seem disturbingly relevant to us in 2025. But *1984* is far more than a dystopia; it tells the love story of Winston and Julia. But is it possible to live out a love in times when everyone distrusts everyone else?
