Composer Christopher Young—described by BBC Music Magazine as “the greatest horror film composer of all time” and celebrated for his work on more than 160 feature films spanning the genres of horror, drama, and large-scale action films—will be honored with the Career Achievement Award as part of SoundTrack_Cologne 23. On Thursday, July 16, he will take part in an in-depth on-stage discussion about his celebrated career; the following Friday, July 17, a festive awards ceremony will take place, during which the New Rhenish Chamber Orchestra will perform a selection of his most iconic film scores.
