The White Album - Live (Special Guest: Leah Marlene)
In the organizer's words:
The White Album is a Danish indie trio that has been active since the early 2010s. Drawing on influences from folk, rock, and pop, the band has made a name for itself on stages and on the radio across Europe over the past decade. The band is led by three childhood friends—Jakob Eilsø, Claus Arvad, and Frederik Vedersø—and is known for its beautiful vocal harmonies, great songs, and unmistakably warm Nordic humor.
Although The White Album is a Danish band, their career began in England, where they were discovered by an English management agency. This was followed by a huge buzz and numerous concerts. Among other appearances, they performed on Amazing Radio and played songs from Tramlines and JaJaJa. The band then shifted its focus to their home country, where they were signed by Warner Music and released two successful albums. Among them was the streaming hit “Kings and Aces,” which has over 3 million streams and has received frequent radio airplay. The band toured extensively throughout Germany and Switzerland and appeared several times on Danish television. With their new single “Lighthouse,” the trio presents an upbeat indie-pop song that radiates warmth and a summery vibe.
Leah Marlene has a gift for captivating her audience. At the heart of her music lie compelling storytelling, melodic diversity, and emotional honesty. She blends the intimacy of folk with the energy of rock and pop, creating songs that are both timeless and refreshingly new. Born in Ontario and raised in Illinois, Leah grew up surrounded by music before gaining national attention by placing third in the 20th season of “American Idol.” Today she lives in Nashville, tours extensively throughout North America, has shared the stage with artists such as Jade Bird, Peach Pit, and Margo Price, and was selected as one of the top 50 finalists in NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest. Live, Leah Marlene is both magnetic and approachable. She creates a positive vibe that’s almost palpable in the concert hall.
