Stefanie Boltz: Midsummer Poem

In the organizer's words:

"MIDSUMMER POEM" is a musical homage to the most powerful time of the year: Midsummer. When the days seem endless and nature presents us with colors, scents and intense sensory impressions, Stefanie Boltz invites us to celebrate this special time musically.

Songs such as Roy Ayers' "Everybody Loves the Sunshine", Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man", Mancini's "Slow Hot Wind", "Summer Breeze" or "Heat Wave" capture the lightness of summer - while pieces such as "Summertime Sadness" also hint at the melancholy side of this time of year.

Together with Serbian cellist Nenad Uskokovic, Stefanie Boltz creates orchestral soundscapes and fragile musical moments with her voice, cello, loops and electronics. "Midsummer Poem" is carefully crafted summer music about nature, love and the round dance of sun, moon and stars - a promise for a whole evening full of sound and atmosphere.
