Simson- und MZ-Treffen

Sturdy, repairable, and simply iconic—the Museum of Saxon Vehicles in Chemnitz will celebrate the legendary two-wheelers from Thuringia and Saxony on August 30, 2026.

Whether in their original condition or creatively customized—the Simmen from Suhl are always dearly loved by young and old alike. And so we look forward to welcoming visitors who bring along plenty of two-stroke power from the GDR’s largest motorcycle manufacturer.

At the Simson and MZ Meetup in Chemnitz, you can celebrate, talk shop, or simply show off your bike.

The following highlights await visitors:

• Between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., you can have your moped tested on the dynamometer for free! First come, first served. An offer from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau in cooperation with the West Saxony/Chemnitz Motor Vehicle Guild.
• The popular Moped Limbo is back. So start practicing hard!
• Award ceremony for the most beautiful original moped and the most creative customization.
• A bouncy castle awaits our younger visitors.
• Beer Framo will be serving delicious Munzer beer. But there will also be plenty of refreshing non-alcoholic drinks and tasty food.
• Additional booths will be open to visitors if the weather is nice.
