Silent Photo Walk - was ist dein Bild lokaler Kultur?
In the organizer's words:
During the Silent Photo Walk, people walk together through the Linden Nord neighborhood—in silence. Without talking. Keeping an open eye for details, light, and shapes. Anyone who wants to can take photos along the way—with a cell phone or a camera.
A gong signals the start. Then the group sets off. They pause for a few minutes at two locations—to look around, take photos, and consciously take in their surroundings. Along the way, thought-provoking questions invite participants to engage with the neighborhood both photographically and mentally: Which places, squares, or corners tell stories of living together? Where can culture open up new perspectives? What deserves more attention? Where should culture take center stage? What do you miss in the neighborhood? And in which places is it particularly difficult for people to come together?
The walk takes about 45 minutes. At the end, the group returns to the starting point. A gong breaks the shared silence and creates space for connection: as participants share their photos, view them together, and discuss what became visible along the way.
The Silent Photo Walk is open to everyone. No prior photography experience is needed—just curiosity, a moment of silence, and a desire to discover the neighborhood with fresh eyes.
Please bring:a cell phone with a camera.
Participation is free and no registration is required.

Temporary Sociocultural Space
In the summer of 2026, the Cameo Kollektiv e.V.—which has been creating new spaces for quiet encounters since 2023—will collaborate with the Kulturzentrum Faust e.V., a key player in the Linden-Nord neighborhood. In the bustling Küchengarten, the “Platz für Begegnung” (Space for Encounters) is taking shape—a place dedicated to bringing people together and where accessible cultural programs and workshops can also be held. The goal is not only to invite the neighborhood’s residents to engage with one another on-site, but also to ask them about their wishes for public spaces and local culture, and to empower them to actively participate in shaping these spaces.
Funded by the Socio-Cultural Fund with resources from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
