This workshop (or series of workshops) will equip you with the knowledge to practice and improve your bondage/shibari skills, whether you’re just starting out or already experienced. Safety, plenty of techniques, tips, mindsets, improvisation tools, and aesthetics. Using a friendly, non-hierarchical approach, the scope and pace of the workshop will be adapted to the group’s needs and rhythm. Before the workshop, I’ll assess participants’ varying levels of knowledge, and both the workshop content and the guidance provided will be tailored to the participants’ individual needs.

The exercises are always carefully adapted to the participants’ bodies and mobility/capabilities (or lack thereof), as well as to their general health and well-being. The workshop is an event for adults that embraces diversity and is based on explicit consent.

Please bring comfortable clothing, something to drink, and, if needed, something to practice on (e.g., a pillow, mat). Maximum of 14 participants. A sliding scale applies.

Ann Antidote (n.p./they) has been teaching bondage (workshops and private lessons) for all levels since 2010, does ghost rigging for films, theater, and photo shoots, and also offers other services related to rope bondage.

To kick off the weekend, there will be a concert on Friday featuring Frictive Frequencies. “Frictive Fre quencies” is a current concert series in Berlin that presents improvised music. GubbiAnn, aka Anne Antidote, will be performing in Bremen. GubbiAnn helps organize this series and will speak briefly about the event and its artists, followed by a concert featuring recycled circuits, no-input, and homemade oscillators. The evening will open with a performance by Bremen-based off-track-playtoy multi-instrumentalist Mirko Hipstehr.

After the first day of the workshop, there will be a short film night. The program will feature a selection of queer post-porn short films by and/or starring Ann Antidote, Salty Cherry, and Emy Fem. Featuring—but not limited to—plenty of bondage. The films have been screened at numerous film festivals, including those outside the porn film festival scene.
