The legendary Cologne-based RÖSCHEN SITZUNG will be performing at the Weststadthalle in Essen on Friday, January 15, 2027 (starting at 8:00 p.m.) with its hit show “Land unter … jetzt auch mit Tiefgang” (Flooded … Now with Depth). 

The Kölner StadtAnzeiger ran the headline: “… between waves, wit, and resistance: a diverse, top-notch program”  

The polar ice caps are melting, the Dutch are already camping on Worringen’s North Sea beach, and parts of Cologne’s Old Town as well as Schaafenstraße are underwater. No problem for the Röschen—we’ve made friends with the water and are taking you on a dive:

whether it’s Ariel, Nemo, lesbian mermaids, gay dolphins, or transatlantic underwater creatures—never before has a reef been so colorful and wild, so diverse and fun as ours. Not a single eye will stay dry. 

And while politically speaking, it’s already “land under” and the queer community in many countries is up to its neck in water, that’s exactly why we’re celebrating the most beautiful and flashy underwater party with you in our “Queer All-Reef of Dreams.” It’s not just the term “wetlands” that takes on a whole new meaning here.
