REVOLUTION TRIO
In the organizer's words:
Songs from political struggles and social movements have always accompanied people in their quest for freedom and change. They offer hope, foster a sense of community, and become resonant symbols of resistance. They often draw on familiar melodies, which are set to new lyrics. When speaking openly is dangerous, images and hidden meanings emerge. But what remains when language disappears? When words fall silent and only the melody carries on what once had to be said? The instrumental versions of political songs by Jo Ambros, Johann Polzer, and Dieter Fischer explore this question. Through their interpretations of well-known and lesser-known revolutionary songs, they focus on what unites us: the music itself. Free from linguistic boundaries, the melodies unleash their immediate power and make audible what constitutes community at its very core.
