“Generations” is the theme of the 2026 Spring School, the results of which will be presented from July 3–12 at Große Ulrichstraße 13–15. The exhibition will take place in conjunction with the Werkleitz Festival“Sooner or Later.” 

The works created during the Spring School explore the perspectives of different generations. They examine tradition and change, the potential of commonalities and differences, and, fundamentally, the possibilities for engaging in dialogue with one another. 

A central component of the Spring School—which has been held annually since 2021 as a workshop week for students from Halle in Hettstedt—is the exchange with people in the Mansfeld-Südharz region. Through on-site conversations, different perspectives on specific topics and experiences emerge, and viewpoints and attitudes are compared and contrasted. Last but not least, everyone has the opportunity to gain a better understanding of their own assumptions or to question them.

The exhibition is open during the festival from Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
