Francine Fishpaw (Divine) could lead a picture-book life as a suburban housewife if it weren't for her wayward family of pornographers, cokeheads, glue sniffers and foot fetishists. John Waters, the "Pope of Trash", serves up a wonderfully vulgar, queer, insanely funny distorting mirror variation on Douglas Sirk's melodramas - only real in Odorama™! Filmclub 813 will be handing out the legendary, rare scratch-'n'-sniff scratch cards with 10 exquisite smells, including skunk, petrol and scented tree. Numbers are limited, first come, first serve!
The 16mm short film ECLIPSE OF THE SUN VIRGIN (USA 1967, 10 min.) by underground legend George Kuchar, who John Waters counts among his most important influences, will be shown in the supporting program.
