heimkino.: SISI UND LOVE

In the organizer's words:

Empress Sisi has reached the last half of her life. Countess Irma finds her surrounded by women in a kind of aristocratic commune in Greece, a whole universe away from the etiquette of the Austrian court. Sisi lives in absolute freedom, in which neither her children nor her husband Emperor Franz Joseph play a role. Irma falls head over heels in love with the captivatingly charismatic Sisi and her modern ideas.

"heimkino." is a project with Flugmodus GmbH to create a home for the community of film and cinema lovers in the trendy Ehrenfeld district. As part of this new series, we are bringing classic films and unknown masterpieces back to the big screen every Wednesday. One month is always dedicated to a common overarching theme. In this way, we want to offer the audience different film perspectives on the same topic, find answers together and ask new questions. We look forward to seeing you!
