After a break of nearly two years, the time has finally come again: the Presto Rosso Salon Orchestra is returning to the stage and transforming St. Johanniskirche into a bourgeois salon café. The program features “only the best” from the repertoire along with a few new pieces—a colorful medley of dance and light music, soulful character pieces, and unforgettable film scores.
The original concept of the salon orchestra—an ensemble to entertain high society in an era without electronic music—is taken a step further here, with the classical repertoire expanded to include modern adaptations, such as current songs or music from the world of video games. The result is a lively, cheerful concert that delights audiences with fresh energy, abundant enthusiasm, and a love of detail—and not just for high society!
