What are we to make of a newspaper whose editor-in-chief dreams of the AfD becoming “mainstream” and even goes so far as to refer to this party as the “savior of democracy” in a headline? And who, in his editorials, repeatedly attempts to frame the AfD as a legitimate protest party? We at the NOZ-kritisch Initiative want to stand up against this growing trivialization of right-wing populism in our Osnabrück daily newspaper. Not even the targeted hacker attack on our ANK website in June will be able to stop us! We warmly invite everyone who would like to support us to our next open meeting on Tuesday, August 18, at 7 p.m. at the “Spitzboden” in the Lagerhalle in Osnabrück.
