When words take flight, it’s Poetry Slam season again in Landau.
At the “Best of Poetry Slam” on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 8 p.m., the ZKW at Universum THEATER LANDAU will bring the crème de la crème of German-language stage literature to the stage.
With sharp humor, clever insights, and texts that get under your skin, the Landau Poetry Slam showcases the full diversity of a format that has long enjoyed cult status.

An evening full of eloquence, wit, and surprises.

Taking the stage are some of the state’s best slam poets—including the reigning state champion, Sinah Aline Clos from Landau, who wowed both the audience and the judges at the state championships in Kaiserslautern.
The audience can expect an evening full of energy and charisma: sometimes poetic, sometimes funny, sometimes as fast-paced as a rap battle, and always full of surprises. Because in poetry slam, the principle of controlled unpredictability applies—no one knows exactly what will happen, but it’s guaranteed not to be boring.

And as always, the most important jury of the evening has the final say: the audience.
The audience votes with their applause to determine which performance makes the biggest impact and secures the night’s victory.
