Seminar Description

How do I handle it when I (finally) like someone?

You long for a loving partnership on equal footing and feel fundamentally ready for it—and yet it becomes difficult as soon as things get real: Either there’s no one in sight who seems like a good fit, or your inner balance is thrown off when someone truly piques your interest. Your mind races, your emotions go on a rollercoaster ride, familiar patterns take the wheel—and you can barely feel what you really want anymore.

The getting-to-know-you phase of a relationship is marked by intensity: joy, hope, and vitality clash with insecurity, doubt, and old defense mechanisms. For many people, this phase is accordingly challenging—it’s not uncommon for relationships to fail or never even get off the ground at this point.

Who is this seminar for?

You feel ready on the inside and are wondering what’s actually still standing in your way when it comes to relationships. It doesn’t matter whether you’re currently in love or not, whether you’re a (long-term) single, in the middle ofin the getting-to-know-you phase, or confused/doubtful in a relationship—if you’re looking for clarity, inner security, and direction in your (current or next) relationship, this seminar is for you.

Maybe you recognize this…

  • You long for genuine connection, closeness—a loving, healthy, and lasting partnership on equal footing. At the same time, you become suspicious, critical, or withdraw as soon as someone shows interest.
  • You feel a sense of tightness or pressure when things feel “serious” or “right”—as if you have to get everything perfect right now.
  • Why did he/she reply so briefly? Why isn’t he/she getting in touch? And suddenly, your phone dictates your mood.
  • You adapt: the other person’s needs, pace, and schedule take top priority—and only later do you realize that you’ve lost sight of yourself in the process.
  • Deep down, you’re waiting for “something to go wrong”—as if it’s only a matter of time before you’re disappointed.
  • You want to open up—but you don’t know how much is “too much” or “too little.”

Together, we’ll take a close look

What dynamics are at work within you in the early stages of a relationship? What thoughts, beliefs, or unconscious reactions keep your patterns alive? What do you truly want, and how can genuine commitment work for you?

The seminar combines teachings, discussion, and reflection, as well as varied, targeted exercises tailored to the individual needs of the group participants. It draws on elements from trauma work, systemic constellation work, and body-oriented approaches.

What you can take away from this seminar

  • Inner orientation—an inner compass that helps you stay centered even when dealing with intense emotions
  • Understanding of your typical patterns and defense mechanisms during the getting-to-know-you phase
  • Concrete guidance for recognizing suitable partners
  • Practical tips and insights to give a new relationship a solid foundation from the start and shape it consciously
  • The ability to make sound decisions – stay or go?
  • Self-efficacy and trust in your own process
  • A conscious, mindful approach to intimacy and commitment at your own pace
