Internationales Sommerfestival 2026 auf Kampnagel

On August 5, the International Summer Festival kicks off—for three weeks, Kampnagel will present state-of-the-art theater, dance, music, theory, and visual arts in more than 50 productions from around the world. These include numerous world and German premieres.

This year’s highlights include the German premiere of IRRESISTIBLE REVOLUTION by Ayelen Parolin, the world premiere of TRAPICANA by Joana Tischkau / Jeremy Nedd / Sophie Yukiko / Malpaso Dance Company, the German premiere of APRÈS MOI, LE DÉLUGE by (LA) HORDE & Ballet national de Marseille, the world premiere of KEEPING SCORE: PRODUCT OF DIVORCE / NATURE SOUNDS WHILE IV DRIPS / RESTART by Jacob Jonas The Company, the German premiere of HONDA ROMANCE by Vimala Pons, and, to close the festival, the world premiere of ERSTE LETZTE SEKUNDE – EINE GALA by Christoph Marthaler—and much more!

You can also look forward to a first-class, wonderfully curated music program: The Kampnagel club venue kmh, St. Gertrud Church in Mundsburg, and the Elbphilharmonie will all be filled with music by international artists—including Ana Frango Elétrico, Sophia Kennedy / Yaama, The Cinematic Orchestra, Grup Yorum, Mary Lattimore, Arthur Verocai & Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Ron Sexsmith, Krista Papista —and many more!

The festival will take place in all of Kampnagel’s halls, at the Avant-Garden & Migrantpolitan, at all six venues along the Hamburg Art Mile, at the Kunsthalle, at the MARKK – Museum am Rothenbaum, the Elbphilharmonie, St. Gertrud Church, the Alabama Kino, and on the MS Stubnitz.
