Führung durch die Dauerausstellung „Vom Arbeiterführer zum Reichspräsidenten“

OnSunday, September 13, 2026, the nationwide“Open Monument Day”will take place under the theme “NetzWERKE: Monuments & Infrastructure.”To mark the occasion, theReichspräsident Friedrich Ebert Memorial Foundationinvitesthe public to a guided tour of the permanent exhibition at 3:00 p.m.

The tour offers a journey through the life of Friedrich Ebert, with a particular focus on his political career. Beginning with his childhood in Heidelberg during the imperial era, participants will follow Ebert on his travels through Germany, during which he joined the Social Democratic Party and the saddlers’ union. They will follow his rise within the SPD up to the pinnacle of his career as head of state of Germany’s first democracy, the Weimar Republic, to which he was tirelessly committed.
