Open-Air Kino: FUCKING ÅMÅL
In the organizer's words:
Feature Film • SE, DK 1998 • 89' • Original Version with Subtitles
Director: Lukas Moodysson
The introverted 16-year-old Agnes moves to the bleak Swedish small town of Åmål. There, she falls in love with her classmate Elin—who, however, is not the only one adoring her. Lukas Moodysson directs his debut film with gentle humor and documentary-style charm, using a handheld camera, natural light, and non-professional actors. One of the most important Swedish films of the 1990s, it drew as many people to theaters in its home country as *TITANIC* did. It won the Teddy Award at the Berlinale.
In case of rain, all ticket holders will be notified by email, and the event will take place indoors at the Gotland.
