The Cologne version for three players, based on Erich Kästner
Berlin is always worth a visit, Emil’s mother thinks. She puts him on the train with a bouquet of flowers for Grandma, a suitcase, and 140 marks. There’s great consternation when, at Zoologischer Garten, the money is gone—just like the strange man in the hat… Emil sets off in pursuit across Berlin, and a whole gang of boys comes to his aid. Set within the most unlikely of all frame stories, the COMEDIA Theater team reimagines this classic.
