Following the massive success of *THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN* (1967) and *THE RETURN OF THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN* (1969), master director Chang Cheh teamed up with his “Deadly Duo”—David Chiang and Ti Lung—to direct this third film: NEW ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN is one of those spectacular large-scale productions that were typically shot almost entirely in the studio and staged on elaborate sets—the kind that always give Shaw Brothers productions that very special, surreal, dreamlike “touch.” The star-studded German dub is also worth mentioning:
Elmar Wepper (DER KOMMISSAR) voices David Chiang, while Ti Lung is voiced by veteran Christian Brückner.
