Transatlantic relations, once a pillar of the postwar order, have been shaken by Donald Trump’s presidency. Whether in trade, security, digital policy, or environmental policy—the U.S. government’s political agenda is increasingly at odds with the values and interests of Europe and Germany in key policy areas.
