Campus-Kino: Die Akte Lindenberg - Udo und die DDR (Dokumentation)

For eight years, Udo Lindenberg fought to be allowed to perform in the GDR. On October 25, 1983, his wish came true. His legendary performance at the Palace of the Republic made German-German music history. Reinhold Beckmann, who was on site at the time as a sound assistant for an ARD crew, and Falko Korth take a behind-the-scenes look at this special concert in their documentary. Using Stasi files on Udo Lindenberg, the film reconstructs the events and background from the GDR’s perspective surrounding the famous performance in East Berlin.
