Bewegungsworkshop für Alle: Collective Motions

In the organizer's words:

Bring your best friend! Workshop at the exhibition HERE AND NOW at the Museum Ludwig. De/Collecting Memories from Turtle Island at the Museum Ludwig.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll experience artist Marie Watt’s expansive bell sculptures “Thirteen Moons” in a new way: through touch and movement. How do the artworks feel? How do the jingles sound when touched, and what effect does the sound have on your body? You’ll explore the clouds of bells and set them in motion through creative approaches.

The workshop takes place without shoes—you’ll dance in socks.

No prior experience is required. All workshops are open to participants of all ages. A 40-minute workshop begins every hour on the hour (2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.). Just stop by—we look forward to seeing you! Participation in the workshop is free. You can purchase admission tickets for the museum on-site at the ticket office.

Workshop leaders:Rotating between Beatrice Cordier, Mona Nellessen, Kathrin Schilbach, and Lea Weigel (students in the Master’s program in Dance Education at the Center for Contemporary Dance at the Cologne University of Music and Dance)
