Ausstellung: "Gemeinsam gegen Sexismus"

Sexism refers to discrimination, devaluation, or exclusion based on gender or gender identity. This can manifest itself in language, behavior, social expectations, and even in societal structures. Often, such patterns shape our interactions without us even realizing it. Sexism thus directly influences personal relationships as well as the workplace, education, the media, and public spaces.

The Department for Equality, Family, and Inclusion invites you to use this short exhibition to reflect on your own experiences, question common assumptions, and engage with the various dimensions of sexism.

The exhibition materials are provided by the “Together Against Sexism” Alliance, an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth, of which the City of Bochum is one of the 50 original signatories.

July 1–12, 2026, during the Sustainability Center’s opening hours, as well as during other events at the Center.
