Düsseldorf Fashion Days 2026 | Festival Edition & Fashion Highlights
A summer day full of fashion, food, and festival vibes ✨👠
Fashion mice and fashion lovers watch out, this one is for you! ✨
Once a year, all of Düsseldorf turns into a runway—and we love everything about it. From fashion shows on the Kö to pop-ups, design markets, street food, and live music: At the DFD Festival Edition on July 25, 2026, the city center transforms into a massive open-air festival celebrating fashion, design, and urban culture. From the fashion shows on Königsallee to THE DORF THE MARKET in the Hofgarten, plus pop-ups, DJ sets, art, culinary delights, and hands-on activities, the entire city center becomes a stage for creativity, style, and connections. Around 75,000 visitors are expected—and the best part? Most of the events are free.
So that you can concentrate fully on planning your runway outfit, we proudly present our app special for the Düsseldorf Fashion Days. ✨
Are you keen to get a taste of fashion in the middle of Düsseldorf? As an appetizer, here's everything you need to know about this year's DFD program:
What are the Düsseldorf Fashion Days?
If you love fashion (or just enjoy watching people in really great outfits), there's no getting around Corneliusplatz.
Here, RIANI, Bugatti, True Religion, fashionette, Sheme Shoes, and many other brands will showcase their latest collections on the runway. You can also look forward to the pre-opening of the AMD Academy of Fashion & Design, as well as a fashion show featuring Sicilian designers—timed to coincide with the anniversary of the city partnership between Düsseldorf and Palermo.
And there's plenty to discover off the runway, too:
👗 Pop-up stores from GUESS, van Laack, BYD, and other brands
📸 The BUNTE cover shoot where you can be on the cover yourself
🎨 Fashion illustrations of your outfit by Lisa Taniyama (Studio Rabotti)
🗼 A miniature Eiffel Tower as a photo spot—true to the “Petit Paris” theme.
Ice cream, burgers, and cooking contests? We've got those, too.
Fashion makes you hungry.
Luckily, Taste up! is waiting for you right at Corneliusplatz. Here, Düsseldorf’s top restaurants compete against each other in live cooking battles alongside their apprentices. Using identical sets of ingredients, they create creative dishes that the audience can even sample afterward.
Among others, they include:
🍽️ Brasserie Stadthaus, Grande Étoile, Restaurant Kö59, MIA Restobar, Agata's 🍽️
Anyone who's always wanted to get a taste of what it's like to be on a jury can even secure one of the limited jury spots.
And in between?
🍦 Ghirloni's limited-edition festival ice cream
🍔 Bulle Burger
🍪 Crumblies Cookies
🍕 Lettini's
🥟 The Wagnerian
THE DORF THE MARKET, Tanz and Pitch Palace at the Hofgarten
We’re especially looking forward to this 💜
Amid trees and picnic blankets, select designers, artisans, and brands showcase fashion, jewelry, home decor, and accessories. It’s one of those markets where you really just meant to stop by for a quick look—only to find yourself still there two hours later.
Also included:
💃 Dance performances by Team Legit and the Sanostra Dance Team
🎤 Get ready for a nostalgic evening: At the Pitch Palace Millennium Singalong, you'll sing along to the biggest hits of the '90s and 2000s. Britney, Backstreet Boys, Vengaboys? We've got you covered.
🎁 As a bonus, we're even giving away tickets to the Backstreet Boys concert.
While you're at the Hofgarten, it's also worth stopping by the Goethe Museum. The exhibition there, titled “Von Hauben & Haaren” (“On Hats & Hair”), is all about the fashion of Goethe’s time.
On display are original issues of the *Journal des Luxus und der Moden*—the first major German-language fashion magazine—as well as extraordinary hairstyles and hat designs from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It offers a fascinating glimpse into how fashion was already setting trends back then.
If you're traveling with kids, you can also look forward to a scavenger hunt and a creative workshop in the castle gardens. Perfect for a little breather between the runway and shopping. 🌿👒
Schadowplatz: Now YOU'RE the model
Have you always dreamed of walking down a runway yourself?
You can do just that on the Public Catwalk at Schadowplatz.
You can also look forward to:
✨ Goodie Bags (while supplies last)
🎡 The SEPHORA Wheel of Fortune
🎨 Art and Guerrilla Actions
🎈 Balloon art by Hakan
🎧 Music at the B12 Pop-Up Café
All of Düsseldorf is celebrating
The DFD Festival Edition is no longer limited to the Kö.
About 250 stores, brands, restaurants, and cultural institutions are participating—from Schadowstraße through the Old Town to Carlstadt.
And there's a real comeback, too:
🎉 Loretto Summer is back!
After a one-year hiatus, Lorettostraße will once again be closed to traffic and transformed into a large pedestrian promenade featuring street food, music, late-night shopping, and plenty of summer vibes.
What highlights await you at the Düsseldorf Fashion Days?
Admittedly, it’s not easy for us to choose from this extensive program, but between photo shoots, avant-garde fashion, and a touch of the fashion industry, it all boils down to one thing: highlights for every taste! With numerous in-store specials from well-known fashion and beauty brands, your bags and closets will fill up in no time. But that’s not all: In addition to the in-store specials and dining options in the area, the focus is on creative pop-ups featuring local brands and a great atmosphere with live DJ sets and concerts along Königsallee and at Corneliusplatz. Festival vibes, live drawing, the Fashion Aware Club, and even your very own public catwalk: you’ll find the complete overview, neatly organized, in our app special. 🕺
