THE DORF THE MARKET • A DAY IN THE PARK 2026

Let’s spend a Day in the Park! On July 25, 2026, THE DORF THE MARKET—an open-air market curated by the Düsseldorf magazine THE DORF—returns to Düsseldorf’s Hofgarten. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jägerhofallee will once again transform into a gathering place for local creatives, designers, restaurateurs, and select artisans from Düsseldorf and the surrounding region. 

Amid mature trees, urban summer vibes, and the relaxed atmosphere of the park, over 40 exhibitors will present unique products, new collections, handmade items, home decor, fashion, accessories, beauty products, and culinary specialties. Familiar faces from the THE DORF universe will come together with exciting new discoveries and fresh ideas from the local creative scene. 

Following the success of past editions, THE DORF THE MARKET continues to grow in 2026—with new participants, an expanded food selection, and a varied program of events for all ages. As part of the Düsseldorf-Palermo city partnership, Sicilian design will also be featured. The Theatermuseum offers exciting activities for children, while oysters and champagne are served at the PING Oyster Festival taking place at the same time. 

Two dance performances in the middle of the Hofgarten will bring the 90s vibes to life: At 4 p.m., the award-winning crewTeam Legitwill showcase their skills, before theSanostra Dance Teamtakes over at 5 p.m. with another dance performance. Those who try their luck in between can also win tickets to see the Backstreet Boys.

Various DJs from the THE DORF scene will provide the perfect musical accompaniment well into the evening. There will also be music on the adjacent Hofgarten stage: Starting at 3 p.m., the Jazzschmiede will present “Jazz and World Music in the Hofgarten”—the perfect way to round off an afternoon of shopping with some relaxing jazz sounds.

A perfect summer day in a green setting with music, design, culinary delights, and plenty of opportunities to meet people right in the heart of the city.
