Theater im Park

The Theater im Park is a unique open-air venue in the Schwarzenberggarten at the Belvedere in Vienna's 3rd district. It was founded in June 2020 by theater makers Michael Niavarani and Georg Hoanzl - originally as a safe open-air alternative during the coronavirus pandemic. This emergency gave rise to one of Vienna's most popular summer stages.

The venue itself is a particular highlight: The Schwarzenberg family opened the gates of their beautiful private garden for culture - an ambience that is second to none. Around 400 performances take place there every year from May to the end of September.

The program is varied and aimed at a wide audience: cabaret, comedy, classical music, jazz, Viennese songs and much more are on the program, presented by top-class artists. Theater im Park is committed to the motto "Airy, funny, beautiful and safe" and offers an evening full of entertainment in the middle of one of Vienna's most beautiful gardens. As a special bonus, visitors receive Free admission to the Lower Belvedere Museum on the day of the event or the following day.
