The Theater im Ballsaal is jointly run by the two Bonn-based groups fringe ensemble (theater) and CocoonDance (dance). It is a house of producing artists and develops its physiognomy in the examination of contemporary themes and artistic impulses of different genres. It sees itself as a place where innovative narrative techniques, forms of expression and artistic approaches are developed and constantly redefined. In addition to productions by the ensembles, guest performances, series and festivals are presented, and a lively network of regional, national and international partners has developed over the years.
