The district center is a house for the residents of the Herrenhausen-Stöcken district.

With an open and inclusive approach, spaces are created for a community of diversity, for cultural and social participation as well as for education and advice. As a place of encounter and dialog, all residents of all ages are welcome and invited to help shape the place.

Humanity, tolerance and openness to the world are the principles of the joint activities of the three institutions in the building: the urban district culture, the Stöcken district store and ema gGmbH.

Their offerings are geared towards the needs and participation of the districts - they see themselves as active partners in the network of district work. In addition, the building also offers other associations, initiatives and district groups a place for exchange and action with its diverse range of rentals.
