SCHRIFTSCHATZ is the top spot in Düsseldorf for anyone who loves beautiful lettering!

SCHRIFTSCHATZ is run by Gaby Trombello. Her life motto—“Just do it, learn every day, and see how far I get”— — led Gaby, despite having no knowledge of Italian, to study graphic design in Florence, to found an advertising agency, through life with her lively German-Italian family, and to SCHRIFTSCHATZ, her calligraphy workshop in Düsseldorf’s creative neighborhood of Flingern. 

Would you like to learn aboutfaux calligraphy, often called “fake” calligraphy? Unlike classical or modern calligraphy, it isn’t written with a pen, ink, or sumi ink.Here, you sketch the characteristic letterforms—made up of thick and thin lines—with a pencil and fineliner, andthen you can trace over them calmly and with precision. You’ll create beautiful and colorful effects that are the hallmark of this technique. It’s simple, relaxing, and a lot of fun. Design your very own personalized greeting or congratulatory card at SCHRIFTSCHATZ.

Included: All materials for the workshop, instructions, and a handout with practice sheets—and, of course, the card you’ll make yourself at the end. 

Water, a glass of wine if you’d like, and a few snacks will of course be provided as well.
