In the organizer's words:
Wolfgang Lackerschmid wrote jazz history at a young age with his album "Ballads for Two" as a duo with Chet Baker. As a vibraphonist and composer, he stands for lively jazz: virtuoso, humorous, harmonically sophisticated - and always melodic.
With the line-up he has put together for his 70th birthday, he can draw stylistically from the full range. It will be funky, groovy, swinging, deep in the ballads and rousing in the uptempo.
