Three’s a Party. Wir feiern: Weserburg, GAK & Künstler:innenhaus Bremen

The Weserburg, the GAK Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst and the Künstler:innenhaus Bremen are opening their doors for a summer evening with art, music and a hands-on program. In addition to a fashion show, a performance and a DJ set, there will be a live concert on the forecourt of the Weserburg.

The event starts at 6 p.m. on the forecourt of the Weserburg with a plant exchange organized by KlimaWerkStadt and a hands-on station: Make it Mirrorball. DIY disco balls with a glamor factor (until 8 pm). Music by DJ Yung Womb with a mix of jazz from the 1970s and 1980s, contemporary jazz, funk, vintage salsa and Caribbean music.
At the same time, the Weserburg invites visitors to the exhibition Anys Reimann. Mirrorball invites you to a silent disco. In the midst of the works, visitors can listen to a playlist compiled by the artist via headphones (until 9 pm).

The performance Melissa by Renen Oh will take place at Künstler:innenhaus Bremen at 7:30 pm. The artist works interdisciplinary in the fields of video, performance, sound and text. Based on dance, Renen has developed a visual art practice that incorporates the language and logic of the stage into spatial installations. In these works, the focus is on how material interacts with theatricality, language, duration and audience.

At 8.30 pm, the GAK Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst will present Umhaut in the museum tunnel - a "fashion show" with narrow, wide, open, closed and layered enclosures. This is preceded by a workshop with fashion designers Harm Cordes and Luisa Recker.

The musical finale will be ÄLICE at 9 pm with a live concert on the forecourt of the Weserburg. The Hamburg musician is known for her energetic mix of reggae, R'n'B, dancehall and hip-hop styles and her clear stance against sexism and homophobia.

And for the small or big appetite: snacks, drinks and ice cream are provided.
