"Our last tour? No, probably not but we want to do a great tour and visit our friends in Portugal, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Because it might be our last for a while.

Icelandic retro prog rock trio THE VINTAGE CARAVAN return with their sixth studio album
studio album "Portals", which will be released on September 26, 2025 via Napalm Records! The previous album, "Monuments", reached a sensational number 21 in the German album charts and represented an important milestone in the band's development. And so the forthcoming studio album continues to cement THE VINTAGE CARAVAN's reputation as a pioneer of contemporary classic rock. In addition to their fan and critically acclaimed releases, the band's rousing live performances have thrilled audiences at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest as well as on international tours - both as headliners and as a support act for progressive metal greats Opeth.
"Portals" begins with the moving, soulful album opener "Philosopher", which delves deep into
introspective spheres and is carried by the unmistakable voice of none other than Mikael Åkerfeldt from Opeth. The song builds a bridge between the generations of progressive rock by combining Åkerfeldt's iconic and distinctive
melancholy with the lively sound of THE VINTAGE CARAVAN. Other album highlights include tracks like "Crossroads", which is catapulted into the modern era with a thunderous blend of retro riffs, or the hard-hitting anthem "Alone", which showcases soulful vocals and the raw, timeless rock energy that the band has perfected over the course of their career to date. Songs like "Riot" stand out as future classics from THE VINTAGE CARAVAN, rich with a bluesy, psychedelic sound, modern intensity and irresistible riffs. The groovy closing track "This Road" rounds off THE VINTAGE CARAVAN's versatile new work perfectly after just under an hour!
