In this course, I will introduce you calmly and gently to the Tai Chi Chuan of the southern Wu style according to Ma Jiangbao. This traditional Chinese martial art combines health and meditation in movement and gives you a tool that you can use for a lifetime.
With the slow movements of Tai Chi, I will show you how to gradually calm down and what serenity feels like, which you can then take with you into everyday life. You will feel how tension is released, your head becomes clearer and you go into the evening feeling lighter. The gentle training strengthens body awareness, calms the mind and reduces stress.
What you can expect
You will get to know the traditional long form of the Wu style - made up of 6 parts and 108 movements. We will work through it step by step, at a pace that suits you. The aim is to maintain your health and flexibility in the long term - well into old age.
☯️ The principles of Tai Chi
- Calmness of the body and heart
- Lightness and suppleness
- Slowness in the flow of movements
- Conscientiousness in performing the movements
- Perseverance and persistence to strengthen your willpower
👟 What you bring with you
We practise Tai Chi without a mat - just with your own body.
Loose clothing and flat sports shoes are sufficient.
👥 Who is the course for?
For all adults who want to exercise and calm down.
The age range of 18 to 67 years serves as a rough guide - your individual level of flexibility is decisive. As the Wu style is somewhat more dynamic than the Yang style, I do not recommend it for those with noticeable movement restrictions. If in doubt, just drop me a line.
