Surfaces Exhibition

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

“Surfaces are the surfaces themselves—the light that meets nature, thereby creating unique structures. In the element of water, various facets of the sea are revealed, along with natural light that penetrates beneath the surface.”

Driven by the freedom of the ocean and the surf culture deep in southern Europe, Surfaces depicts not only surfaces but also the individual faces of the people who carry the freedom of the ocean deep in their hearts.

Surfaces can be sharp and yet so blurred that they make the boundaries between sky and ocean disappear, leaving only a single, vast whole visible.

A story of courage—the courage to step beyond the boundaries of one’s comfort zone. To reach the lineup with a camera, in a foreign country with strangers who became friends because of a single photograph. A story of light reflected off the water, striking the surface at just the right angle to penetrate deeper than the surface itself.

As part of the exhibition, individual fine art prints will be placed or hung in the space so that they “float” like surfaces within the room. The intention is to create the impression for the viewer that the individual photographs exist as separate entities within the space, thereby representing different surfaces and depths in three-dimensional space. This is also intended to be visualized through various types of fine art printing (fabric, tracing paper).
The viewer walks through these individual planes in the space and experiences the photographs within the space.
