Tina Freitas is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, and composer from Salvador (Bahia) who lives in Frankfurt am Main.
At Stoffel, Tina Freitas will perform alongside three other Brazilian musician friends: flutist and saxophonist João Gomes, guitarist and singer Tavinho Tavares (), and percussionist José Pedro Medeiros.
With its groove, the band’s music radiates pure Brazilian joie de vivre.
The complex and sometimes jazzy arrangements reflect the diverse traditional and contemporary musical styles and rhythms of Brazilian music, which is strongly influenced by African culture. In addition to samba and bossa nova, these include samba-reggae, forró, and choro, among others.
