TO READ POETRY OR NOT TO READ POETRY, THAT IS THE QUESTION...

... a question you’ll have to answer for yourself on Saturday, June 27, from 2 to 6 p.m. That’s when the Silent Book Club Münster will host a poetry special at the B-Side Café as part of the POETRY Festival, an event organized by the City of Münster’s Cultural Affairs Office. The theme: All Things Poetry. The SBC X POETRY Edition is designed to invite you to read, think, and talk about poetry. Bring poems, write poems, read poems. There will be a poetry stage, a poetry workshop , and , of course , time to read poetic (or non-poetic) texts. The event is open to everyone, and there will be free admission. 

The Silent Book Club Münster usually meets twice a month in a public space, typically in cafés. The meetings are free and open to everyone; German and/or English are spoken. 

Our meetings generally proceed as follows:

30 min: Arrival & (optional) conversation

60 min: silent reading

30 min: (optional) discussion / continued reading & farewell

The motto is “bring your own book”—so bring whatever you’re currently reading. All genres, languages, and formats—whether e-book, audiobook, or print edition; non-fiction, sci-fi, or romance novel—are welcome!
