"Signatures" - Tanz und Piano meet Barockmusik

Claudia Küppers and Antonia Koluiartseva are researching dance as "writing in space". Based on patterns, patterns, fonts and their graphic representation, a finely poetic and yet expressive personal signature, a physical signature in space, a dance script is created through improvisation. Antonia Koluiartseva's dance signature follows her musical intuition and is both deeply sensitive and playful in its expression. The music follows the dance as an abstract narrative, which is simultaneously an occasion, contrast and source of inspiration, sometimes anticipating, sometimes waiting for, sometimes illustrating the dance. This leads to a dance solo that oscillates between the aesthetic expression of the dance, the music and the space. // Nicklas John, jazz pianist from Wuppertal, will then deal with what he has seen and heard on the piano - in other words, he will take fragments or essences from Purcell's and Rameau's compositions, twist and turn them and use them as the basis for improvisation. He explores the melodies that particularly touch John and puts them in a new light. Sometimes in the tone of the original, sometimes transformed into jazzy or modern sounds. John has already experimented with this on his album "DAHEIM", on which he improvised over beloved melodies that were alien to jazz.
