For 20 years now, the quartet from Hamburg has been captivating a steadily growing fan base around the globe, including classical music enthusiasts as well as people who normally wouldn’t set foot in a concert hall. Virtuosity, wit, and poetry—with this uniquely their own blend, Angelika Bachmann (violin), Alvina Lahyani (violin), Mara Kochendörfer (cello), and Kristiina Rokashevich (piano) now bring a sleighful of musical treasures to the stage in their Christmas program: Christmas music from all corners of the world meets classical music, chanson, and film scores, works by Vivaldi, Dvořák, and Piazzolla—and above all: an irrepressible, indeed, sacred joy of playing.
