When Romeo and Juliet meet, they are two completely normal teenagers to whom something very special happens: at first sight, they are madly (!) in love with each other! But they belong to two feuding families who are plaguing Verona with their bloody feud of hatred and violence. Every joke is a provocation, every meeting - war! Neither the Prince's threats of draconian punishments for perpetrators of violence nor the Father's appeasement - the voices of reason and peaceableness fall on deaf ears with the two gangs. A reconciliation between the Capulets and Montagues - impossible! Their feelings for each other come as a shock to the two lovers when they realize the chasm of traditional enmity that lies between them, but their hearts and bodies strive inexorably towards each other - a secret marriage seals their love. But will it also end the history of old family hatred?

Romeo and Juliet's union is explosive and will claim victims - ultimately the two of them!

Choreographed fights authentically reflect the aggressively charged atmosphere. Sound artist Daniel Mandolini (beatboxer "Mando") accentuates the linguistic power of Shakespeare's drama of this fatal love with dynamics and sound.

The new production was created by actor and director Michael Meyer. An evening of theater that goes straight to the heart, especially for young viewers.
