Slept Well, Dreamed Badly – Album Release Concert
Special Guest:insschlosswollen
Doors Open: 7:30 p.m. / Show Starts: 8:00 p.m.
With“Gut Geschlafen, Schlecht Geträumt,” Munich-based musician Quirinello releases his second album and celebrates the release on October 15 with an exclusive show at Munich’s Strom. Following his English-language debut“melancholyMe” (2022) and millions of streams, the artist is ushering in a new era: German-language, darker, more driving, blending anthemic choruses, NDW influences, and garage rock energy. Singles like “Sorgenstau” and “Wiener Melange” have already shown where the journey is headed— “Gut Geschlafen, Schlecht Geträumt” brings the story to a close. At Strom, Quirinello will present the album in its entirety for the first time, accompanied by a band: an evening that oscillates between daydreaming and sleepwalking, between growing pains and nights spent dancing.
insschlosswollen is Max Weigl’s solo project. With his melancholic, danceable “Schnauzer-Indie,” he delivers the soundtrack for the desire to eventually arrive at a symbolic castle sometime in one’s twenties. It’s about crushing on someone, slow kissing, the everyday heartaches of young-adult life, but also the transience of the “best years” and “political” resistance through daydreaming. Melancholic, pop-infused indie love songs that go straight to the heart.
